Supernova Acro Club inspires young athletes to do their best and learn from top notch coaches All classes located in South Edmonton and taught by head coach and director Jill Ford (B.ED, Acrobatic Arts M1, M2 ,M3 Certified, Alixa Flexibilty M1-M3, Acrobatic Arts Course conductor and Examiner,NCCP level 2 coach, CDTA Certified teacher, inductee Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame) Acrobatics - All classes taught by certified Acrobatic Arts Teacher, examiner and course conductor Jill Ford and Samantha Hnatiw, Tori Ladd, Kaitlin May, Kellie Draper, Madison Phee- all certified AA. Classes of all levels and ages 3 and up. Exam/Competitive and Recreational classes offered.
Flexibility Classes- Jazz and Ballet Technique - Stretch and Dance Technique - great class for acro students who are not in competitive dance and mandatory for level 4 and up to increase flexibility and learn better body technique and awareness. Mini Mites - Combination class of Acro and dance for ages 3-5yrs.

Meet your teachers.......
Cierrah is an accomplished dancer and vocalist. She started dancing at the age of 4 and commenced with vocal training at the age of 6. Cierrah has danced competitively for the past 12 years and is trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, Pointe, and musical theatre. In addition to the weekly routines at her local dance studio her training also includes attending Alberta Ballet’s Summer Intensive Program in Calgary (twice), Ballet Austin’s Summer Intensive Program in Austin Texas, Ballet West’s Summer Intensive Program in Salt Lake City, and Joffrey’s in New York City. Cierrah has won many top awards at dance competitions, including scholarships to Joffrey in New York City & To Be Discovered in Los Angeles. She has completed her Advanced 1 & 2 RAD exams with distinction. This past year she also examined for the prestigious RAD Solo Seal Award. Cierrah performed in the 2016 & 2017 Jeunesse Classique Nutcracker Edmonton performances as the Arabian Princess, Columbine and most recently the Sugar Plum Fairy. She will be attending the U of A in the fall to pursue her studies in the field of engineering. Cierrah is excited about the upcoming year and helping to mentor other dance students in perfecting their skills and technique in the art of dance!
Jill was originally from Regina, Saskatchewan where she danced competitively in the areas of ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics and baton twirling for 17 years. She went on to teaching dance, baton and acrobatics in her home city and has since moved to Edmonton, Alberta where she has opened her own studio specializing in Acrobatics, dance technique and Baton Twirling……Supernova Acro and Baton Club! She completed her bachelor of Education (k-5) at the University of Regina which has furthered her expertise as an acrobatic, baton and dance teacher. Jill has traveled the world as an athlete and now coach competing and coaching at International baton competitions. She is now committed to keeping young kids involved in the areas of the arts and sport. With 25 years of teaching experience Jill stands by pushing students and reaching personal bests in a positive atmosphere!
